I heard it for the first time and I immediately thought about designers doing meditation and positive thinking (let’s face it, most of them should really do it).
But has it turns out, it has nothing to do with that.
Today I decided we should talk about something that designers and design companies (actually all professions) suffer from: the inability to say no to the client.
We all have those days when we need our brain to go right but it keeps going left (actually, mine always go left because I’m a leftie, but you get the point).
If you are having (or had) one of those days, I’m sorry to tell you my friend, but you have what is called a creative block.
Don’t sell your soul on account of a few discounts. Once you consider everything, you will see that you spent more money than you planned and all for nothing. By the end of the day, you just have more stuff but aren’t necessarily happier.
Everything that I know about being a designer was either learned within the few design courses that I had in University or was completely self-taught with the help of Doctor Google, design books, and design courses (like those on Skillshare).
