Although I see a great number of woman working in design and being very successful at it, there aren’t as many recognition and career progression for them as there is for their male colleagues. I’m not sure why this happens, but I know that we have to do something.
So this post is about one badass lady designer called Jessica Walsh and her initiative Ladies, Wine & Design.
We all have those days when we need our brain to go right but it keeps going left (actually, mine always go left because I’m a leftie, but you get the point).
If you are having (or had) one of those days, I’m sorry to tell you my friend, but you have what is called a creative block.
One of these days, I was looking for something that I saw online, probably on Pinterest, and came across a nice idea that really resonated with me and my lack of ability to learn things by simply reading them: deck cards for designers.
While talking with a friend, she told me that wine design was actually a “real thing”.I was intrigued, to say the least.
So, I decided to dig a little deeper and found out what is a wine designer and what it takes to design a great wine label.
